International Motorsports Industry Show

International Motorsports Industry ShowWhat more can we say. On behalf of our staff, partners, and the founders of the International Motorsports Industry Show, I want to extend a very heartfelt thanks to all of you in the racing industry. Our inaugural show exceeded our greatest expectations. A first class group of exhibitors and a very strong attendee turnout made this inaugural hardcore IMIS event a truly special happening. I also want to thank our professional partners; ProCaM (Professional Conventions and Meetings), Market Share Plus, and True Speed Communications. Special thanks also go to Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, Mayor Greg Ballard, Don Welsh, and the staff at the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association

2009 IMIS

International Motorsports Industry ShowWe're very happy with the success of this first event. Race teams, dealers, distributors, buyers, and racers packed the aisles on Wednesday. Thursday, although a few less people, was still very strong for a brand new show. The important element both days were the quality of attendees. They were the decision makers that were in charge of buying racing components from the exhibitors. We received many comments on the fact our aisles weren't full of "sticker hunters" and sponsorship solicitation. The success of this show will always be the quality of exhibitors and the caliber of the attendee.

Attendance

Fire Freeze Cold Fire and Peak ProductsThere were 10,348 attendees walking the floor and 346 exhibitors squeezed into 113,000 square feet. We sold out every square foot of space available. IMIS is very focused on having the right type of attendee. We will continue to improve on this each year. As an example, we are going to increase our International exhibitor and attendee efforts as well as look at all forms of hard core racing. One important fact with our business model is that we don't care about being "The Worlds Largest" or setting "Attendance records." Our concentration will be to create The Best environment that's conducive to doing business.

2010 Dates

International Motorsports Industry ShowThe 2010 IMIS will take place on December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Tentative dates for the IMS Safety Conference will be November 29th and 30th. We have already registered over 180 exhibitors for 2010. Most of the existing exhibitors have doubled their booth space for next year. The prime booth locations are going quickly. There will be a 10% discount for companies who pay in full by February 1st, 2010.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway Safety Conference

The IMS Safety Conference was a great success. We would like to thank the world renowned group of experts that presented as well as the sponsors. This event will be at least two days in 2010 if not three. The two hundred plus attendees were very complimentary and felt like this is the start to a very special and informative annual event. The IMS Safety Conference was a great success. 2015

At our Industry Reception on Tuesday evening, we were very excited at Mayor Greg Ballard's announcement that our contract with Indianapolis is being extended to 2015. This insures that we are here for the long run and can continue to build this show each year.
